The short comparison

Oreline

Investigate the rare-earth chain.

A curated dataset of companies, facilities, output and disclosed relationships, with evidence, comparisons, saved investigations and assumption-based scenarios.

Mining Intelligence

Published offering

Mining Intelligence describes a database of mining properties and deals with filters for commodities, development stage, geology, production, costs and company information. Its public material also describes project comparisons and alerts. This is a broad mining-research proposition, not simply a list of mine locations.

Does your research end at the mine gate?

For an acquisition search, a broad property database can be exactly right. You may need to screen deposits, compare study stages and identify financing activity. A rare-earth dependency investigation asks an additional question: where does the mined material go before it becomes a magnet input? A large upstream resource does not automatically resolve downstream processing exposure.

A buyer evaluating both products should follow one project beyond extraction. Check the separation route, metal or alloy conversion and customer disclosures. When the decision turns on whether a project changes an industrial dependency, that downstream context is central to the assessment.

How the work differs

Use Oreline to move between the project, company, production stage and disclosed connections. Review whether capacity is planned or operating, then test a project delay without treating its future output as an immediate loss of supply. Retain the supporting sources in the investigation.

Sources, reporting periods and evidence gaps remain visible throughout the investigation. Coverage is reviewed rather than exhaustive or live, and undisclosed quantities stay unknown. Read how the analysis handles them.

Why Oreline for this work

A rare-earth project matters to magnet supply through the chain it can feed, not simply because it appears in a project directory. Oreline helps your team investigate that downstream context and distinguish a development opportunity from current supply. Explore a connected investigation in the sandbox.

Pricing and access

Oreline costs $1,000 USD per organisation per month, including 20 individual seats and access to the published research library, curated dataset and investigation tools. See the subscription details.

Mining Intelligence pricing is not quoted here. When comparing costs, account for the required modules, team access, data rights and contract term. Oreline's organisation plan includes the published research and working tools in one subscription.

Oreline’s free sandbox needs no account and contains selected examples. It is a product evaluation, not free access to the full subscription workspace.

What to test before buying

  1. Separate upstream acquisition screening from downstream supply analysis.
  2. Test a project with both mine and processing dependencies.
  3. Confirm which financial, cost and deal datasets are included in the licence.

Frequently asked questions

Does a larger project database mean better magnet coverage?

Not necessarily. Project count does not tell you whether separation, alloy and magnet operations are represented with usable evidence.

Can I use Oreline for all mining commodities?

Do not assume so. Its current research focus is the rare-earth permanent-magnet chain, rather than a complete cross-commodity mining universe.
